Digitally restored ‘Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo’ showing on KTX as part of Sagip Pelikula Festival

Laugh out loud to the grand and wacky wedding of 2006 as ABS-CBN Film Restoration presents the digitally restored and remastered version of Star Cinema’s romantic-comedy hit “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo,” starring real-life partners Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo, starting July 15 (Thursday) on the Sagip Pelikula Festival on   

With its original story written and directed by veteran filmmaker Jose Javier Reyes and inspired by the screenplay of Mary Ann Bautista, the film revolves around Angie and Jed (Judy Ann and Ryan), an unlikely couple who are about to tie the knot following Jed’s impulsive decision to marry Angie.   

Problems start to arise for Angie and Jed during the wedding preparations as the in-laws begin meddling and clashing with one another. Aside from the troubles caused by their parents, the couple will also have to deal with their not-so-perfect relationship while a baby is on the way.   

Starring alongside Judy Ann and Ryan are Gina Pareño, Gloria Diaz, Ariel Ureta, Soliman Cruz, Kat Alano, Tuesday Vargas, Lui Villaruz, AJ Perez, Juliana Palermo, and Derek Ramsay. The said film also gained recognition from different award-giving bodies, including the 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival, 23rd PMPC Star Awards for Movies, 55th FAMAS Awards, among many others.  

Don’t miss the premiere of the digitally restored and remastered version of “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” on KTX this July 15 at 7:30 PM. Aside from “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo,” moviegoers can watch more restored hits in the latest edition of Sagip Pelikula Festival, including its sequel “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo,” “Isusumbong Kita sa Tatay Ko,” “Muling Ibalik ang Tamis ng Pag-ibig,” “Bakit ‘Di Totohanin,” “Pare Ko,” “Hataw Na,” “Radio Romance,” and “May Minamahal” on KTX beginning July 16 (Friday).   

ABS-CBN Film Restoration recently celebrated its tenth year of restoring and remastering films from directors and writers of note for today’s viewers to appreciate through its Sagip Pelikula initiative. These efforts have earned multiple recognitions from award-giving bodies worldwide, including the prestigious Gold Quill Award given by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Gawad Pedro Bucaneg from Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas (UMPIL).
