‘Creed III’ Review: Adonis Creed still packs a punch in visually stunning third installment

CREED III (2023) Review
Directed by Michael B. Jordan

After watching the movie, all I can think of is Ryan Coogler must be proud of Michael B. Jordan, of passing the torch as a director to the lead star. Because Creed III definitely feels like it belongs in the world he built. It definitely continues the tone and soul of its predecessor and as a fan of the franchise, it was a relief.

Creed III is visually stunning for a sports drama movie. But it still doesn’t forget to have a heart. The film manages to punch more stories from Adonis Creed even if it’s not as emotionally packed as its predecessors. But it’s not a bad thing especially if you have Jonathan Majors as your villain.

While I do feel there’s something missing from the film, maybe deeper connection between Creed and the characters around him. It’s still entertaining. There’s enough drama, tension and action for its audience.

4 OUT OF 5 STARS

‘Creed III’ is now showing in cinemas and IMAX Theatres nationwide. Rated PG by the MTRCB.
