“WPS” is a story of hope and resilience. It explores the power of love, the importance of unity, and the unwavering spirit of a nation determined to fight for its inherent rights and future. It reminds us that even in the face of overwhelming odds, the human spirit can prevail, fueled by love, resolute determination, and the unwavering belief in the power of collective action and the true spirit of nationalism and patriotism for genuine devotion to and love of country and people.
Since the announcement of the project, having a controversial and political themes, are they receiving threats to stop production?
“Actually, ‘yan ‘yung gusto nating labanan, no? ‘Yung takot. So, bring it on. ‘Yung mga threats na ‘yan, bring it on. Kasi ‘yung National Anthem natin, ‘yung Lupang Hinirang, intindihin natin. We should conquer all these fake narratives ng China na nananakot sa atin. So, dapat magkaisa tayong lahat. And the first thing na dapat nating gawin as Filipinos is ‘wag matakot,” answers West Philippine Sea (WPS) Series producer and Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc.
