‘West Philippine Sea’ series on threats the production gets: “Bring it on!”

Presenting a controversial and political story that is spanning for almost a decade now, ‘West Philippine Sea’ series aims to tell stories happening in the West Philippine Sea.

Produced by the film division of the Kapisansn ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. ‘West Philippine Sea’ stars AJ Raval, Ayanna Misola, Ali Forbes, Diana Menezes, Lala Vinzon, Lance Raymundo, Rannie Raymundo, Massimo Scotfield and more.

“WPS” is a story of hope and resilience. It explores the power of love, the importance of unity, and the unwavering spirit of a nation determined to fight for its inherent rights and future. It reminds us that even in the face of overwhelming odds, the human spirit can prevail, fueled by love, resolute determination, and the unwavering belief in the power of collective action and the true spirit of nationalism and patriotism for genuine devotion to and love of country and people.

Since the announcement of the project, having a controversial and political themes, are they receiving threats to stop production?

“Actually, ‘yan ‘yung gusto nating labanan, no? ‘Yung takot. So, bring it on. ‘Yung mga threats na ‘yan, bring it on. Kasi ‘yung National Anthem natin, ‘yung Lupang Hinirang, intindihin natin. We should conquer all these fake narratives ng China na nananakot sa atin. So, dapat magkaisa tayong lahat. And the first thing na dapat nating gawin as Filipinos is ‘wag matakot,” answers West Philippine Sea (WPS) Series producer and Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. Film Division President and CEO.
