In recognition of the Superstar and National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ms. Nora Aunor’s outstanding contributions to the Philippine entertainment industry, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has given age-appropriate ratings to two of her highly regarded movies ahead of their theatrical relaunch.
The films “Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos” and “Tatlong Ina, Isang Anak” have been rated PG (Parental Guidance) by the MTRCB review committee, making them suitable for family viewing.
Parents are encouraged to guide younger viewers and have a meaningful conversation with their children about the themes presented in the films.
Mario O’Hara’s 1976 wartime drama “Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos” received high appreciation from critics and is considered one of the best Filipino films. While “Tatlong Ina, Isang Anak” (1987) explores the emotional complexities of motherhood through the lives of three women connected by love and sacrifice.
Through the initiative of ABS-CBN Film Restoration Project (Sagip Pelikula), the relaunch of these iconic movies serves as a special tribute to Ms. Nora Aunor whose life and work has left an indelible mark on Philippine arts and culture.
“The Superstar, Ms. Nora Aunor is not only a national treasure but also a symbol of excellence in the Philippine entertainment industry,” MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio said. “As a tribute to our superstar, we are pleased to classify these classic films with age-appropriate rating, ensuring that all viewers, regardless of age, can enjoy these masterpieces.”
