From the hit series ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E,’ Ashtine Olviga and Andres Muhlach, collectively known to their fans as AshDres, are taking their love team from small screen to the big screen via the romantic drama movie ‘Mamahalin: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna.’

Sobrang thankful ako na nasundan siya and movie din with Andres,’Ashtine shares on having a follow up movie after their hit Viva One series.
“Ako din, hindi ko in-expect ‘yung support from the fans. Tapos ngayon, sa ‘Minamahal,’ sa movie na ‘to, parang sobrang grateful kami na the support that we got from the fans and now may movie. Kaya we just wanna do the best for them,” Andres continues as he agrees with Ashtine.
The film is written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, who has done numerous romance movies like ’100 Tula Para Kay Stella,’ ‘Just A Stranger,’ and ‘The Day After Valentines.’

It went through a rigorous process bago napunta sa kanila ‘yung project because the script itself has been existing even before pa magkaroon ng ‘Mutya,’ even before pa magkaroon ng AshDres na love team. And then, pinitch sa kanilang dalawa, and when everyone agreed na magandang gawin ang project na ‘to, saka nagkaroon ng Minamahal,” director Jason Paul on how AshDres were chosen to be the main cast of ‘Minamahal’ movie.
When asked if they could describe the movie ‘Minamahal’ in one word, AshDres answers:
“Pwede four words? Siguro real life relationship situation.
Super real, it’s not like larger than life type of setting in film kaya realistic,” Andres adds.
The movie follows a lonely high school flower enthusiast, Raffy, who spends years trying to win over a jaded visual artist, Luna, by giving her flowers at significant times in her life. What starts as a sweet, high school crush blossoms into a heartfelt and complicated relationship that spans into college, where the realities of growing up test love.
Just how many flowers will it take for a high school loner to reach the heart of someone who doesn’t believe in love? Watch as one boy tries to make something beautiful bloom… soon.
‘Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna’ arrives in Philippine cinemas on September 24 from Viva Films and Ninuno Media.
