‘Lasting Moments’ (2025) Review: Love, Choices, and Pain

LASTING MOMENTS (2025) Review
Directed by Fifth Solomoon

I think the impact of ‘Lasting Moments’ is its story as a whole. The moment you assess your choices and make you think of the what-ifs you could have had if you’ve chosen a different path, it hits too much.

Love and career, especially during the 20s to 30s, are really challenging and the film presented those challenges. JM de Guzman and Sue Ramirez worked as a couple and we get to experience real-life struggles of a couple trying to balance work and life in this economy.

To make the drama and conflict, it has to establish its story neatly. The film managed to give us a look at how Aki (de Guzman) and Pia (Ramirez) go from a happy, engaged couple to miserable individuals who have a hard time to even care about each other. But there are two sides to every story. The film presents their individual struggles, which help the audience understand and sympathize with them.

But as complicated their lives may be, how time may challenge their love, keep them apart and bring them back together, the film shows that love can overpower pain. It can wash away the other choices you have and will leave you with what’s your true priority.

‘Lasting Moments’ may be dragging at times, but there’s truth in the pain it wants to present. The film wants you to experience loss and clarity. To be more understanding and to be selfless in love.
