Joseph Abello’s Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival entry, ‘Wantawsan,’ has found its lead cast.
Joross Gamboa (Deadma Walking, Hello, Love, Goodbye), Rita Daniela (Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw) and child actor Zion Cruz have joined Abello in his third feature-length film, ‘Wantawsan.’ Also part of the cast is TV, movie and theater veteran, Raffy R. Tejada.

During the reveal last October 2025, Joseph shared some details about his film.
“Tungkol siya sa one thousand pesos.Tungkol siya sa isang dad at birthday ng anak niya, tapos he will do anything para maging maganda at masaya ang birthday ng anak niya.”
The Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival will run later this year.
