Warner Bros. has released the first trailer and poster for Digger, an upcoming satirical comedy directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu and starring a completely transformed Tom Cruise. Coming to Philippine cinemas this September.
Ditching his usual action-hero persona, Cruise undergoes a major physical transformation—complete with a prosthetic belly, a comb-over, and a thick Southern accent—to play Digger Rockwell, an eccentric billionaire. The film follows Rockwell on a frantic, ego-fueled mission to save humanity from a catastrophic global disaster that his own drilling company accidentally caused.
The official poster features the ominous tagline: “Digg. Or Die.”
Shot in spectacular VistaVision by Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki, the film boasts a massive ensemble cast including John Goodman, Riz Ahmed, Sandra Hüller, and Jesse Plemons.
