Memory Loss, Small-Town Secrets, and Sweet Romance: Jung Hae-in and Ha Young Star in Netflix’s ‘Our Sticky Love’

A fake relationship, a rural village, and a lost memory lay the groundwork for Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy series, Our Sticky Love. Premiering August 7, the show brings together Jung Hae-in and Ha Young in an offbeat, heart-warming love story defined by easy chemistry, playful humor, and an intriguing layer of mystery.

The series follows Go Eun-sae, played by Ha Young, a prosecutor who wakes up in a rural hospital in Gujin-gun with zero recollection of her past. Before she can process her situation, a boxing coach named Jang Tae-ha, played by Jung Hae-in, steps forward with a bold claim: he is her boyfriend. Disoriented and surrounded by the strange charm of a small town famous for traditional Korean taffy, Eun-sae finds everything alien and uncomfortable. Tae-ha’s unpolished appearance falls far outside her usual taste, leaving her deeply suspicious of his intentions and hesitant to trust a word he says.

Despite her initial skepticism, Eun-sae finds her defenses gradually crumbling under Tae-ha’s steady warmth and genuine affection. His unabashed admiration leaves her flustered, and she soon finds herself smiling in spite of her doubts as they settle into an unexpected cohabitation arrangement. However, the budding romance carries an underlying tension. Tae-ha delivers a stern warning that their situation must remain hidden from everyone, dropping hints about a significant secret. As the story unfolds, questions naturally arise about what Tae-ha is protecting her from, why she is supposedly safest by his side, and the real events that bound them together.

Director Kim Jang-han describes the project as an irresistible feel-good romance designed to draw viewers in completely. He explains that the narrative centers on building a bond as tight and enduring as sweet Korean taffy, creating a cozy atmosphere that makes it impossible for audiences to pull away once the story gets moving.

Our Sticky Love premieres August 7, exclusively on Netflix.
