‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Review: Fondly revisiting a memory

There are resemblances in Mufasa and the The Lion King but Barry Jenkins made it feel like a companion film to the original with breathtaking visuals and a heartwarming story. It may feel as if you’re revisiting the original film but there are bits in Mufasa that’s fresh and would make you consider it may have its own story to tell.

MUFASA: THE LION KING is now showing in cinemas nationwide from Walt Disney Studios. Rated G by the MTRCB. #MufasaPH

‘Her Locket’ Review: Bittersweet memories

You can say it’s a typical Chinese family drama, with themes like love, career and misunderstanding in the family. But when a filmmaker knows what story it wants to tell and how to tell that story, there’s confidence that the audience can see and feel. J.E. Tiglao’s ‘Her Locket’ weaves its story in a familiar but effective way. Presenting family issues heartwarmingly and reminding us the bittersweet journey of life and how fast time flies.

HER LOCKET will have its wide release in Philippine cinemas starting January 22, 2025.

‘And The Breadwinner Is…’ Review: Flawed but extremely affecting

The comedy in ‘And The Breadwinner Is…’ may not be as snappy as Vice Ganda’s previous films but this is by far her best, her most emotional and Vice at her most vulnerable. The film knows the struggles it wants to show and presents it with a lot of heart and exceptional performances. A cautionary tale for families with breadwinners.

‘And The Breadwinner Is…’ is an official entry to the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival. Now showing in cinemas nationwide from Star Cinema and The IdeaFirst Company. Rated PG by the MTRCB. #AndTheBreadWinnerIs
