Director James Mangold just announced via his Twitter account that the upcoming Fox-Marvel film starring Hugh Jackman is indeed rated R for “strong brutal violence and language throughout, and for brief nudity.”
Official: Please be advised that LOGAN has been rated R for “strong brutal violence and language throughout, and for brief nudity.”

With the release of the red band version of the trailer, an R rating is quite inevitable. Also with the success of Deadpool being rated R as well, there’s no reason for the film to target a PG rating.
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

“Logan” opens in Philippine cinemas March 1, 2017 from 20th Century Fox, locally distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
