“Deadpool 2” Review: Laugh-Out-Loud, Action-Packed and Surprisingly Heartwarming

DEADPOOL 2 (2018) Review
Directed by David Leitch

It’s a not usual that a sequel turns out to be better than its predecessor but Deadpool 2 is brave enough to be even funnier, more action-packed and even brought in some heartwarming lesson for its viewers even if they’re adults (the film is rated R-16).

In the continuation of the story of the Merc with the Mouth, the violence and foul words are either lesser or you’re already accustomed to it since you’re already familiar with the character of our hero.

The film tells that what we’re about to watch is actually a family movie. Yes, it’s rated R-16 but the themes of the story tackles loss, belongingness, grief and redemption.

Deadpool 2 delivers the action, the laughs and even the life lessons. Even if the Merc with a Mouth is all jokes, the story still finds a soft spot in him to make the journey also emotionally satisfying. It still surprises, the choices the story makes still amazes as it goes beyond formula, beyond the jokes, beyond what we thought of Deadpool is.
