Disney and Pixar take us to a magical summer in ‘Luca’

Movies feel like they’re too reachable these days. Not that I’m complaining about films’ accessibility. But the magic of the process of getting your tickets, waiting in line, sitting in a dark room with low temperature and finally watching the film you’ve been waiting for on the big screen is kind of special. And I miss that.

Growing up to Disney and Pixar films will always be part of how special the big screen is for all of us, and with their latest offering Luca, it takes us back to that magical feeling. Check out the teaser trailer for Pixar’s 24th feature film:

Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are both sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface.

The voice cast includes Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, Emma Berman, Jim Gaffigan, Marco Barricelli, Saverio Raimondo and Maya Rudolph. Written by Mike Jones and Jesse Andrews and directed by Enrico Casarosa.

The film is slated to arrive in cinemas this June from Walt Disney Studios.
