“Hala, hala, hala! Parang kilig katorse ‘yan ah!” (Getting giddy like you’re fourteen!) – Victor Anastacio in Dito at Doon trailer.
TBA Studios and WASD Films’ upcoming romance movie ‘Dito at Doon’ takes us back to those high school “kilig” feels but set in the pandemic. Starring Janine Gutierrez and JC Santos with Victor Anastacio and Yesh Burce, directed by JP Habac (I’m Drunk, I Love You).
You may say it’s just another Pinoy romance movie. But there’s a reason why we’re always drawn to these types of movies. So, what does ‘Dito and Doon’ have that drew these actors to its story?
Victor Anastacio: “Yung nasa teaser, ‘yung ‘baka ‘yung away niyo, sexual tension?’ Ang gandang panoorin ‘yun eh. ‘Yung sinasabi nilang “the more you hate, the more you love,” diba?
Kasi it’s between disconnected people, papaano ‘yung journey ng relationship. This new millennial, technological relationship. Paano magla-last, paano magtu-tuloy tuloy, paano ang magiging journey nito?
Janine Gutierrez: Ako? I like how very real and personal and parang messy ‘yung journey from meeting someone online to meeting them in person. Parang merong messy in between na “tatawag ba siya? I like how it shows that, it’s really emotional, sobrang vulnerable.
Parang gano’n. ”Oh my gosh!” May gano’n siyang feeling.
