Two number one contents from the same director in the Philippines’ number one streaming service. That’s GB Sampedro’s with number one series ‘High on Sex’ and number one movie ‘Purificacion,’ now both streaming on Vivamax.
‘High on Sex’ is a sexy comedy coming-of-age series starring ”Boy Bastos” star Wilbert Ross and reuniting him with ”Crush Kong Curly” director GB Sampedro. It also stars Denise Esteban, Migs Almendras, Angela Morena and Kat Dovey. This hot barkada will take you high. High on love, high on sex.
The series has been constantly at the top spot since it premiered in May 21, 2022. It’s also trending on social media for its sexy and controversial scenes.
‘Purificacion’ is a sexy thriller that would make you question your faith. A policewoman investigates the series of killings that happened to women of Santa Monica and her main suspect is the new priest, Father Purificacion. Starring Cara Gonzales, Josef Elizalde, Ava Mendez, Rob Guinto and Kat Dovey.
Director GB Sampedro started as a director in the musical drama anthology Your Song. And his first feature length film Astig was one of the entries of the most prestigious independent film festival in the Philippines, Cinemalaya in 2009.
He continued to work on TV and movie projects including directing TV5’s reality show Artista Academy, the weekly romance series Wattpad presents, the Vhong Navarro starrer Mang Kepweng Returns in 2017, D’ Ninang starring Philippine’s comedy queen, Aiai delas Alas in 2020.
In 2021, he has two works on Vivamax – Kaka starring Sunshine Guimary and Jerald Napoles, and Crush Kong Curly starring AJ Raval and Wilbert Ross. Both which are also number one movies on the streaming service when they premiered.
Currently, director GB Sampedro has six contents on Vivamax. Namely Purificacion, High on Sex, Doblado, Kinsenas Katapusan, Crush Kong Curly and Kaka. He is now filming 5 in 1 reuniting him for the third time with Wilbert Ross.
He will also direct the concert of the trending trio Chad Kinis, Lassy and MC Muah Beks Battalion titled Beks2Beks2Beks this August 26 at the New Frontier Theater with guests including Vice Ganda.
He will also have a new psycho sexy thriller titled Kara Krus.
