Two new posters have been revealed for Resident Evil, a thrilling new horror movie from Barbarian and Weapons director Zach Cregger. A reimagining of the beloved Resident Evil franchise, the film follows Bryan, a medical courier whose day devolves in a nightmare of unimaginable proportions.
If you’re up for a challenge and maybe in the mood to go beyond your comfort zone, Breakout Philippines brings to life the digital nightmare called Backrooms. This is in partnership with A24 and CreaZion Studios, in time for the Philippine release of the film adaptation, directed by Kane Parsons, the teenager who created the original viral YouTube videos. Right inside Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong, they’ve built an immersive escape room that offers a brief, terrifying glimpse into the liminal void.
“On location, a lot of people had scary experiences,” shares director André Øvredal in a new featurette for horror movie Passenger. In the film, after a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger that won’t stop until it claims them both turns their van life adventure into a nightmare.

James Wan, a Mortal Kombat video game fan and one of the producers of the 2021 film adaptation, says that the biggest thing about “Mortal Kombat II” is there are now tournaments. “This one is bigger in scope and scale,” he says.
