Cars 3, The Incredibles 2 & Toy Story 4; Upcoming Pixar Films

They might have only offered film this year (Finding Dory), but it was a critical and box-office success, Pixar Animation Studios proved that they’re the king in animated films in the world. But what are their upcoming films?

The Good Dinosaur last November 2015 and Finding Dory last June 2016, we still have Toy Story 4, Coco, Cars 3 and The Incredibles 2.

First to arrive the third Cars installment, “Cars 3.” The film will focus on Lightning McQueen, now a veteran racer, as he participates in races around America with new-friend Cruz Ramirez, new-enemy Jackson Storm and returning characters such as Mater, Sally and Ramone. It will be Brian Fee’s directorial debut who has been working with Pixar in the Art Department with the titles Wall-E, Ratatouille and Monsters University to name a few. The film is slated to open in cinemas on June 2017.

Next is “Coco,” the film  is inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de Muertos and will be directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3). It will arrive in cinemas November 2017.

We now go to probably the most awaited sequel from Pixar, “The Incredibles 2.” Brad Bird and Michael Giacchino will return to direct and score the film respectively and will be out in cinemas June 2018. That long, yes.

And finally, Woody, Buzz and the whole gang is back in “Toy Story 4.” The film will focus on Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) finding Bo Peep, which is Woody’s romantic interest.

John Lasseter (Toy Story, Toy Story 2) will direct the film and will arrive in cinemas June 2019.

In addition, Pixar have announced two untitled original films set for March 13, 2020 and June 19, 2020.
