During the bloggers’ conference with writer and director Phil Giordano, he was asked what was the inspiration of the characters and the story of his upcoming movie ‘Pusoy.’
“We did research, we did some immersive research. But the film is inspired by a scene I saw in Amo, Brillante Mendoza’s film. It’s not based of an actual event that happened, it’s inspired by real things and real people but not from one specific story. It’s inspired by the world of gambling,” director Phil Giordano shares.

PUSOY is a film about betrayal. About the cheapness of loyalty. Who you choose to trust can lead to your rise or downfall…and how this is always shifting and changing – loyalty is never stoic.
The film stars Baron Geisler, Janelle Tee, Vince Rillon, Angeli Khang, Felix Roco, Jela Cuenca, Julio Diaz, Raqel Monteza, Kiko Matos, Kacq Yu, Madeline Red, and Greg Hawkins. Produced by Brillante Mendoza, written and directed by Phil Giordano.
‘Pusoy’ streams on VIVAMAX starting May 27, 2022.
