‘Rebound’ Review: A must-watch entertaining and heartwarming sports drama

REBOUND (2023) Review
Directed by Jang Hang-jun

Have you ever left a cinema feeling full of emotions? Cried buckets and cheered for its characters Imagine being that overwhelmed watching a Korean sports movie.

I went into the cinema without any knowledge of the film, without little expectations. Koreans are known to be good producers of films and Rebound having a Philippine release mean this should be something worth checking out and it is. You’ll find yourself being indulged in a well-presented story of an underdog basketball team. How they went from having only six members to reaching the finals.

It may sound really impossible but the film is based on a true story back in 2010s. The acting is good, the storytelling has the right amount of cheesiness and heart and the story is not only entertaining but also inspiring.

Rebound is that kind of film that will make you feel good. It will inspire you, it will make you see the good in people, how hard work and teamwork can really make the dream work. You don’t need to be a fan of basketball or any sports for this film to touch your heart. You only need to just sit and watch how the impossible was made by seven people having the same passion for basketball.
