Lipa City, Batangas is overjoyed at the sight of ‘Mallari’ stars Piolo Pascual and Janella Salvador during their motorcade in the city as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry from Mentorque Productions in cooperation with Cleverminds, Inc.’s promotional efforts last Friday, December 8.
It was a little after noon when Papa P (Pascual) and Janella arrived at Hotel 1925 to get ready for their activities in Lipa City that will start 2:30PM. But even before the motorcade started, people started to flock and take pictures and videos of the two stars of ‘Mallari.’
Joining Piolo and Janella in the float are Mentorque Productions producer John Bryan Diamante and the film’s supervising producer Omar Sortijas. Everyone was overwhelmed by the warm welcome of the Batangueños (people living in Batangas).
Everything went smoothly, the motorcade was organized well, it did not cause any traffic in the area the cars even gave way for the people to indulge in their photo and video taking of the ‘Mallari’ stars.
The crowd were happy shouting Piolo’s name and ‘Mallari’ while taking pictures with him whenever they get the chance.
Props to Mallari’s lead star Piolo Pascual, even under the heat of the sun during the motorcade, his smile never faded.
Right after the motorcade, the cast of ‘Mallari’ went to SM City Lipa for their mall show. According to the mall administration, people are already lining up even before they opened. The ‘Mallari’ staff didn’t realize that that was the line they saw in transit to Hotel 1925.
The fans of Janella Salvador in the South unite to support their favorite artist. From Janella’s supporters to the supporters of her love teams, JoshNella Official Rizal Chaper, JarNella Trendsetter, they went all-out in Lipa City to support their idol that surprised Janella while she sang to them.
But the fans of Piolo didn’t let other fans overpower them.
And as soon as the host called Piolo’s name? Loud screams for the ‘Mallari’ star filled SM City Lipa’s Event Center.
Fans and casual mallgoers filled the mall curious and eager to see the stars perform. You can see people from both corners of the mall, the production of Mallari needed a drone camera to capture the hundreds of people wanting to see Piolo, Janella and the rest of the cast of ‘Mallari.’
Fans mimicked the famous “I love you, Piolo!” while standing for four hours to see their idol. Everyone was having fun chanting the famous line from his past softrink commercial with Toni Gonzaga even those who aren’t even born when it was released were joining in.
Piolo and Janella were very accommodating to their fans. Taking pictures and videos with them. Unfortunately not everyone was accommodated because of the number of people.
Joining Piolo and Janella at the mall show were Ron Angeles, who took off his jacket to show off his physique, Angelie Sanoy, Audrey Alquiroz, Tommy Alejandrino and the child actors John Ventura, James Clarence Fajardo, Ali Abatayo and the funny host Inah Evans.
When the cast asked the audiences which Metro Manila Film Festival entry they will watch first on December 25, everyone screamed “Mallari!”
‘Mallari’ is direted by Derick Cabrido and written by Enrico C. Santos. Watch out for the Parade of Stars happening on December 16 along Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and will end at People’s Park in Valenzuela City, handled by the Metro Manila Development Authority which is in carge of the MMFF.
