Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming animated feature STEPS, offering a hilarious and heartfelt spin on the classic Cinderella tale. Arriving exclusively on the streaming platform on November 20, 2026, the movie invites audiences to rethink everything they thought they knew about fairy tale “evil” stepsisters.
Alongside the trailer debut, Netflix confirmed that the companion soundtrack album, Steps (Soundtrack from the Netflix Film), will also drop on November 20 and is available now for pre-save.

Sick and tired of living in Cinderella’s shadow, Lilith (Ali Wong) steals the Fairy Godmother’s (Bette Midler) magic wand and hijacks the Royal Ball alongside her sister Margot (Stephanie Hsu). Her high-stakes gamble breaks the Cinderella story as we know it—and accidentally dooms the kingdom to the tyrannical rule of Priscilla (Nikki Glaser), a villainous schemer who swoops in to snatch the throne.
