‘The Kingdom’ Review: Well-thought out family and political drama

The Kingdom’ promises a different world but still familiar and they delivered. Performance-wise, there’s no complaints on its cast. What makes the film impressive is that the country they’ve developed, while fictitious, feels authentic to the characters. It doesn’t feel half baked. I wish the mounting felt more cinematic though.

‘Mallari’ Review: A triumph in Philippine horror

The technical aspects in ‘Mallari’ will leave you in awe. It is a triumph in Philippine horror. Not just because it’s big budgeted, not just because Warner Bros. Pictures is part of it, but because this is a multi-layered, complex and well-made film. It’s worthy of your attention and it will make you proud that this is Filipino made.
