Bigger and bolder. This is the direction Filipino viewers are pulling the industry toward, and that is exactly where Netflix Philippines’ 2026 slate is headed. For the first time, the lineup introduces five originals — three series and two films — a major jump that pushes genre, scale, and imagination while staying rooted in Filipino heart.
“People ask me that all the time, have I always wanted to direct a Scream movie, and I say, yes, with all my heart,” says Kevin Williamson, who wrote the very first Scream movie, which has become a cult favorite. He returns to the franchise as writer, producer, and for the first time, director, in Scream 7, opening in cinemas soon, on February 25.

Three-time Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes returns in the second installment of the 28 Years Later trilogy as Dr. Ian Kelson, a survivor that finds comfort in tending and honoring the dead, with his massive ossuary nickname The Bone Temple.

Some things are meant to stay buried. “Lee Cronin’s The Mummy,” directed by Cronin (“Evil Dead Rise”) and produced by James Wan, Jason Blum and John Keville, stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, with Veronica Falcón. It opens only in cinemas April 15, 2026.
