SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (2015) Review
Directed by Christopher Landon
Its stupidity is intentional but so is its want to entertain & it does make the film move forward. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse is not surprisingly dumb but it works in its own. Combining horror and comedy doesn’t work usually these days but with the cast’s charms and the unapologetic approach, the film is a riotus fun. Yes, it could have used its charms and material to a better use but the film delivered entertaining sequences for it to suffice.
The film is still dumb though. Still bearing the usual crime horror films commit, stupid reasoning, isolating the characters to everyone else outside its setting. But if you can get past that, a lot of sequences are ought to be enjoyed. Because one can’t deny the energy the film pours and the appeal for flesh-eating zombies in a hilarious and fun way.
