‘Final Destination Bloodlines’ feels like a work that boomers and millennials will be proud of showing to the new generations. It’s fun, some of the deaths are inventive, it’s campy in a good way, and definitely worth conversing after watching. It’s the type of film that deserves your time and money and maybe even a second watch.
‘Thunderbolts*’ is an exciting addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s fresh, but at the same time, it didn’t need to be different. Just good storytelling with characters that are relatable and fun to watch. And of course, big, action-packed scenes.
Untold is a timely reminder not just for journalists or those in the same industry, but it’s for everyone. For every person who is clinging to a knife, know that every decision matters. Jodi Sta. Maria adds another memorable character to her filmography. But it’s not a character we hope we can relate to.
Sinners is one of the best, if not the best, Vampire movies. Ryan Coogler gives an unforgettable cinematic experience.

‘Locked’ is a slick suspense thriller that offers fewer visuals but manages to feel big. It might not have squeezed every possibility it can explore, but the end product is still entertaining and at times excruciating in a good way.
The film pulls out all the stops in presenting a charming, heartwarming, and distinctly Filipino story. My Love Will Make You Disappear is entertaining as a whole, but there’s a certain disconnect in its emotional journey. Still, the undeniable kilig that envelops the film makes up for its lack of lasting emotional weight, which, for many viewers, is exactly what they’re looking for.

At times, it might feel overwhelming to absorb everything happening, especially the heavier moments, but the film continuously presents its challenges with a sense of hope. One way or another, there’s something in Sinagtala that will move you.

After the film, you’ll feel sad about their dispute, but at the same time, you’ll hope for more from the group. ‘Eraserheads: Combo on the Run’ is a perfect tribute to an original Pinoy music icon.
