ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING (2015) Review
“I could solve every problem in the world!”
It’s hard to judge a film that looks like a direct-to-DVD release movie but Absolutely Anything is cute. With the usual Simon Pegg charms, the film progresses decently, not overdoing anything but also not embracing anything. The film feels like a little version of Bruce Almighty, having all the wish granting powers in the palm of your hands, literally. But it can’t go big either because of its character or because of its budget.
It has a lot of CGI though. From aliens to pop up surprises, Absolutely Anything packs fun right off the talents of Pegg. But its story can’t seem to get as big as its imagination, lingering on the small fantasies of a small person dreaming of small possibilities.
