‘Mallari’ producer praises Piolo Pascual’s performance and work ethics

Three characters in one movie. Just thinking about it makes you imagine the work an actor has to go through to pull off the characters effectively.

That’s why the producer of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry ‘Mallari,’ Bryan Dy of Mentorque Productions in his Facebook post, is all praises for their film’s lead actor, Piolo Pascual.

“Madami curious at nagtatanong sa akin. Kamusta performance ni Piolo Pascual sa #MallariTheMovie. Personally first time ko makakita ng ganitong performance sa isang pelikulang Pilipino. At knowing how hard it was for him to be able to execute it. Ibang klaseng paghanga. I saw the work ethic kung bakit he was able to pull it off. Disiplina at marunong magpakumbaba. The willingness to learn and improve di mo maipagkakaila why Piolo is Piolo.

Bukod diyan abangan niyo din ang performance ng lahat ng cast dahil madami din kayong ikakagulat.

Excited na talaga ako mapanood niyo ang pelikulang #Mallari. Hindi ito basta bastang horror. So proud of the entire team! ❤️❤️❤️

Mallari, the much-awaited, mind-bending horror starring award-winning Filipino actor Piolo Pascual, is inspired by the true story of Fr Severino Mallari, the Philippines’ first and only serial killer. Directed by Derick Cabrido, from a screenplay by Enrico Santos, Mallari also boasts a powerhouse cast of: Janella Salvador, JC Santos, Gloria Diaz, and Tommy Alejandrino.

The film will be the first Filipino movie to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

‘Mallari’ opens in cinemas on Christmas Day, December 25, 2023.
