One of the two horror movies at the upcoming 2023 edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival has released its official poster.
‘Mallari’ starring Piolo Pascual with Janella Salvador, Elisse Joson, JC Santos and Gloria Diaz and directed by critically acclaimed director Derick Cabrido has released its official poster via Mentorque’s official Facebook page.
The poster reveals the three looks of lead actor Piolo Pascual in his three characters. But the mystery in the poster is who’s modern Mallari carrying that is wrapped in blood-covered cloth?
Dubbed as the biggest horror movie this Christmas, Mallari tells the horrific story of Fr. Severino Mallari, a 19th century priest during the Spanish occupation and his descent into madness. The film recounts Father Mallari’s life and work as a parish priest in Pampanga, where he reportedly murdered 57 people to aid his ailing mother.
‘Mallari’ is an official entry to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival. Opens in cinemas this Christmas, December 25, 2023 from Mentorque Productions in cooperation with Clever Minds, Inc. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines.
